IDAHOTB\u5b9a\u2f74\u65bc\u6bcf\u5e74\u76845\u2f4917\u2f47\uff0c\u7d00\u5ff5\u4e16\u754c\u885b\u2f63\u7d44\u7e54\u65bc1990\u5e74\u7576\u2f47\u6b63\u5f0f\u5c07\u540c\u6027\u6200\u5f9e\u300c\u570b\u969b\u75be\u75c5\u8207\u76f8\u95dc\u5065\u5eb7\u554f\u984c\u7d71\u8a08\u5206\u985e\u300d\u4e2d\u522a\u9664\u3002\u73fe\u6642\u6709130\u500b\u570b\u5bb6\u6176\u795dIDAHOTB\uff0c\u7576\u4e2d\u670937\u500b\u570b\u5bb6\u4ecd\u7981\u2f4c\u540c\u6027\u2f8f\u70ba\u3002<\/span><\/p>\n

Why May 17?<\/b><\/p>\n

Established in 2004, the first IDAHOTB (International Day Against Homophobia) drew attention to the violence and discrimination against lesbians and gays; and further expanded it\u2019s focus towards the transgender community and other sexual\/ gender minorities in 2009. To this day, IDAHOTB advocates for all people with diverse sexual orientations, gender identities or expressions, and sex characteristics.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

The date May 17 was chosen to commemorate the World Health Organisation\u2019s decision to depathologise homosexuality on the 17th May, 1990. May 17 is now celebrated in more than 130 countries, whilst amongst 37 countries homosexuality is still considered as a criminal offense.<\/span><\/p>\n
